I am a counsellor with the EPI program and I appreciate learning about the ways that people are assessed and connected with. I appreciate the idea that this is a checklist that clients can fill out however I wonder if it has ever been evaluated as an effective tool by clients before? I also agree with many of the comments that this is not particularly strengths focused or holistic – I think it would be helpful to have tools that better reflect the holistic nature of the client’s life. This may also be a good opportunity to assess how their treatment or relationship is going with their Case Coordinator and other EPI staff on a regular basis – perhaps including more Feedback Informed Treatment questions that can identify what is and what is not working for them. Anytime we look for info from our clients about their experience is an opportunity to acknowledge their voice, choice and autonomy.
