Really appreciate the discussion above and agree with the ideas suggested as they really capture the full picture of returning to work/school. What stands out to me with supporting reintegration is the pulling apart identified fears that would otherwise undermine a smooth transition back and address them with problem solving, as Victoria mentioned above. I also feel similarly to Morgan with identifying potential barriers that, in my mind, provide a realistic picture of reintegration and equally to discuss and normalize setbacks as part of the process. Collaboration and engaging the client to determine their goals seems key at this point and also connecting to resources within the community. For example, if the individual is returning to school, there can be various student services and resources to reach out to to support with any perceived challenges and to create a sense of safety being connected to formal and informal support systems.
