I agree with all of this Katelyn! I actually haven’t come across a tool like the 2-Com before. The few assessment/screening tools I’ve reviewed in the past, specifically for eating disorders (SCOFF and EDE-QS) don’t provide an option like the second column of the 2-Com, giving clients the choice to discuss their concern with the clinician or not. I like how the 2-Com is easy for clients to fill out with ‘yes’ and ‘no’ questions, and having clients fill this out ahead of time creates a safe and more comfortable space for the client when they do meet with the clinician in person. Although I do not have experience using this tool yet, I can see myself using it moving forward to gain better understanding of a client’s concerns.
