Thanks everyone for sharing. I provided an example of one of my newer client’s on another thread in this module. Some of what was said here I think will be useful in engaging him around his need to return to work. He is doing this strictly out of financial need. So I don’t think I’ll be able to convince him to not try and return to work this soon (still in acute phase). I think that he will eventually find work, so it will be important for me to work with him on recognizing warning signs and to also discuss his substance use and, as was mentioned here, his daily routine and how he would need to alter that to incorporate employment, as he has not worked in some time.
